Nifty opened on a strong note with a bullish setup, extending early gains. However, it faced selling pressure after hitting the day’s high, surrendering most of the upside. The index then traded in a narrow range and closed marginally higher. The near-term bias remains sideways to positive.

BANK NIFTY:
Bank Nifty opened strong with early buying interest but reversed sharply after hitting its intraday high, triggering a selloff. The index then consolidated in a tight range and ended nearly flat. The short-term view stays sideways to positive.
