She hates herself.
She knows she needs to open up,
but her mind won't let her.

Her heart begs to talk to someone.
Her mind pushes everyone away
out of fear of being abandoned again.

She deals with things alone,
until it's too much to carry by herself.
She doesn't want to isolate herself,
but she doesn't know how to talk about her
personal life.

Her heart aches for the attention of others.
Her soul forgot how to love and be loved.
The mind believes it's protecting her,
but she hates herself for pushing away those
who want to love her.

She thinks she's too broken to be loved.
She'll never cry in front of anyone,
as she has accepted it as a sign of weakness.
She fights the same battle in her heart and
