Life is a beautiful mess. It’s hard. It’s unpredictable. It’s confusing. It hands out questions when we want answers— tests when we want lessons. And sickness when we pray for health. It’s hard. And then harder. And then sometimes— just plain old awful. I get it, love. I do.

But you know, after all that— and sometimes smack dab in the middle of all that— it’s just absolutely perfect. And right. And good. And whole. And sometimes it surprises you in amazing ways. And goes in and fills those parts you never even knew needed filling. With things you never knew you wanted. Places you never knew you wanted to go. And people you never knew you needed to know.

Life is just like that. It’s imperfect. And routine. And heartbreaking. And incredible. We make plans, it laughs. We start whole, it breaks us. We dream— it makes us wait. We hold on, it rips things away.

But then— for all those things we see it take, it goes in and hands us these things there are no words for. Gives us experiences our hearts couldn’t dream of until we actually live them. It takes what we wanted to hold onto— and gives back what we never knew we should have.

You get a lifetime, love. One. And I promise you— the days are long, but the years are short. Don’t wait. Don’t wait. Don’t wait.

Because if there is one thing this life teaches us every single day— it is that. Do not ever take it for granted. Do not ever waste a moment. A Tuesday. A hard day.

Because one day the ordinary, regular old days will be your magic. And you’ll want them back. I promise you that.

So hang on like hell to this life, love— no matter where you are on your journey. No matter how far you have left to go.
